Is that Athena's personal cup? Does she drink like that all the time? Mom calls that the "dip and lick," and we've always had at least one cat who does that. Currently it is Lisbeth! Purrs and hugs to all, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo.
I love videos for Wordless Wednesday -- they speak volumes. I used to have a cat who drank like that but all my cats now are "traditional" drinkers. Enjoy your Wednesday.

Yes, it's my personal cup. It used to be my mum's but I kept drinking her water out of it so she gave it to me :)

You are so lucky, Athena. Mom won't let me drink from her glass or cup. I have to wait until she's asleep. Then I sneak a drink. Happy WW!
Purrs,

I'm a first time visitor to your site! Love it and your video!
We have to drink out of bowls on the floor - talk about second class cats!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We'll have to start drinking our water like that.
I definitely think it is more efficient to just lap from the cup itself, Athena!
such a sweet and unique girl!
Athena, my black kitty used to do this years ago! Why get your whiskers wet--it much easier to lick off your paw!
Your paw is gonna be really clean, Athena.
Athena, that is such a fun way to drink your water. How nice that you get to drink out of a cup. :)
Thank you. Hope you enjoyed yours :)
It used to be her cup. Not any more :)
Thanks for visiting!
I used to drink like that too. But I trained my mum by drinking out of her cup all the time. She got fed up and so gave me my own!
Do it. It's much more fun!
I do sometimes. Gets my whiskers wet though.
It sure is. But my mum keeps telling me to use my other paw too. I keep telling her I'm left-handed (or left-pawed).
And a cup that I chose myself too!
