Book Review

Thought I'd share this book review my mum just posted on her blog.

If you like Savannah cats and would like to know more then this review may be of interest to you.

My mum's review starts here:

If you are considering getting a Savannah cat then Savannah Cats and Kittens: Complete Owner's Guide to Savannah Cat & Kitten Care by Taylor David  is the only book you'll ever need.

It's rich with detailed information regarding this beautiful cat breed and more. In fact, everything you would ever need to know is within the pages of this book. From finding the right breeder to caring for your kitten and cat, and plenty more besides.

Because the Savannah Cat is a fairly new breed, it has only recently received recognition from The International Cat Association in 2012. It is a hybrid breed created from cross-breeding an African Serval Cat and a domestic cat. A lean, powerful and energetic cat, but certainly not dangerously wild as it is affectionate and craves to be around people, indeed forming a deep, intense bond with its human parent or guardian.

What I particularly liked about this book is the section containing Frequently Asked Questions and an Appendix section listing other relevant facts, such as a list of plants that are toxic to all cats, not just the Savannah. All this will be extremely helpful to any cat owner.

You will also find links to other websites should you seek more information, which no doubt saves you some time from searching for it yourself on the web.

And if you decide to become a breeder yourself, there is lots of info on this too, listing the pros and cons to consider.

All in all, I just loved this book, and if I ever decide to get a Savannah cat in future, I'll be glad to refer to it for guidance.
