One night before going to bed I was staring up at the ceiling. What was I looking at? Well, one of those ladybirds (ladybugs to my American friends) was up there flying around the light. I hate anything that flies and you know what us cats are like, I just had to get hold of it!
Mum was getting ready for bed. She came out of her bedroom and saw me sitting on the banister eyeing up that ladybird. Mum laughed at me and said my eyes were massive, which they always are when I get in this state. She went back into her bedroom and I knew what was coming next. Sure enough she came out grinning with that camera again. So what does a cat do? Well, just let her get on with it, of course. I ignored her, and the flashing, just kept my eye on that bug, cos that's what it is. A bug. Not a lady like me.
Haha.
Enjoy looking at my funny photos and have a great and purrfect weekend!

Eyes hooked on that ladybird |

I'm not letting it get away |
Want to know what happened to the bug? Well, Mum managed to get it out of the window. Which made me angry for a while but then I was too tired to care so I jumped up onto the bed and snuggled up with Mum. That's the most purrfect time of the day (or night) for me.

Who can resist a bug in the house? Self-propelled toys are pawesome!
You looked as though you were cross with the bug disturbing you Athena.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
I think my mum may have been cross with the bug because she was tired and wanted to go to bed :)
We call them ladybirds here too. We like it when bugs get in the house. Mommy, not so much. Heehee.
My human is also an incessant bug saver and photograph taker, Athena... what can we do?
Your eyes are the purrfect shades of emerald and peridot mixed together. Glad your mom let that ladybug fly away. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Your eyes are so big, Athena! Too bad your mom ruined your fun by letting the ladybug fly away.
Athena, what would your mum do without you? She could let you get a bug once in a while--our human tells us that's our job, but that doesn't stop us!
No, my mum hates all bugs. I'm here to look after her!
Never mind, at least they feed us :)
My mum says what a lovely description of my eyes you have just given :)
Ha ha, scary eyes!
Yes, like I said, I'm here to look after her :)
You're eyes are amazingly big! It's fun to watch and chase bugs. Occasionally I get to catch the ones in our house, but mom rescues some of them (like ladybugs) because she doesn't want me to kill them and she smacks the others so I don't destroy the furniture trying to catch them.
