Melt Your Heart Monday

Saw this recently and just had to share. It reminded me of how I felt when I was waiting for someone to come and rescue me. I too was stuck behind bars longing for a safe, loving, forever home. When Mum watched this she cried because she felt for these poor souls. The way they speak in this video, is just how she hears it in her mind when she looks into the eyes of all homeless pets.

The most poignant scene for us is when the paw touches the human finger. That's exactly what happened to us when we first met at Wood Green the Animal Charity. We touched and our souls became one (though we believe we are one soul and have been through many lifetimes and always will be).

May all homeless animals have the chance to enjoy the security of a loving forever home. They so deserve it! Sending purrs to those that need it xx

  1. I was roaming free at Feline Rescue when Mommy came to see me. Only aggressive kitties were in cages. But when brandi adopted mom brandi was in a cage, cause it was only an event at a pet store for a rescue. And her little paw was reaching for Mommy and she meowed so pretty the rescuers took her out of the cage and she climbed right up on Mommy's shoulder and purred. You made Mommy remember that paw and smile. Thank you. I love it when she smiles! Rubbies always come after smiles!

  4. How touching. Both Pierre and Newton were in cages at adoption events when the head peep found them.

  5. What a heart warming video. I was in 2 shelters before I got my forever home but there was no paw touching involved.

  8. Glad you enjoyed the video everyone! It is indeed beautiful.

Athena was actually in a cat pen with another cat when I went to see her. There weren't any bars but wire mesh doors. Athena kept jumping up and meowing at me, trying to climb up the wire mesh with her claws. She was definitely the loudest in there but I think she knew I was her mummy as soon as she saw me and wanted me to take her home at once! We touched paw and finger through the wire mesh and that was it.
