Speak Up For Animals #BtC4A

Help the Animal Welfare Party be a VOICE FOR ANIMALS!

Animal Welfare Party

If you are a true animal lover then you will want what's best for all animals. Not just your pet.

Mum is a member of The Animal Welfare Party, a UK political party for people, animals and the environment. We both want to help spread the word for all the animals in the world because we cannot speak up for ourselves (well, we can, but humans don't really communicate in the way that we do and many, to be honest, are ingnorant and selfish and care only for their own needs.

But we know there are true animal angels out there that really want to do what's best for their furry (and not so furry) friends. Without them, what chance do we have?

From the AWP website:

The AWP believes in a better future for people, animals and the environment. Our policies are aimed at creating a fairer, more equitable and sustainable society in which the interests of the environment, people and animals are taken into account.

Our key policies include:

  • Redirecting subsidies from livestock and fisheries farming to plant-based agriculture
  • Promoting healthy plant-based lifestyle initiatives in schools, GP practices and the workplace
  • Phasing out animal experimentation with binding targets for reduction and funding and support for alternatives
  • Phasing out farming practices with poor welfare consequences for animals
  • Increasing penalties for those convicted of animal cruelty

If you live in the UK and want to speak up for animals please visit the AWP website

It's also National Pet Month in the UK so we would like to share this great infographic about Keeping Your Pets Safe.

What a great organization. Here in the US we don't have one group that does all of those things, just a bunch of smaller groups that typically focus on one topic.

I love the graphics, it covers so many topics.

Thank you for being the change for animals and for supporting the blog hop!

Great organization and great infographic except it talks like it's cruel to have an indoor-only cat. All cats should be indoor-only since there are so many risks outside especially in the U.S. We have cats poisoned in our hood years ago and it happens all the time. We also had a dog attacking a kitten and kids putting cats in bags and throwing them against a wall. Nope, I'm not going out there.

I agree. Here in the UK most cats are outdoor, but I myself believe the world is getting too cruel with lots of nasty humans about so it's best to keep your cat indoors. It's nice to get them a catio though, which is what I plan to do when we move.

This sounds like a great organization! It is great that animals are getting much better representation in human society these days. We don't have an official political party here in the US for animal rights, but we do have a lot of animal rights organizations.

Wish we had a similar party in the United States. I eat a mostly plant based diet and am horrified by the treatment of farm animals. I would also love to see more humanely produced pet foods.

If I lived in the UK, I would support this too.

How cool that the UK has a political party that loves animals! We wish we had one here in the US.

What a terrific group of animal lovers you've got there! I'm with meowmeowmans, sure wish we had something like that here in the U.S. We'll have to work on that one, won't we?

Kudos to you all for all your hard work and dedicated efforts. The time and energy you devote to your causes is surely making a big difference.

Thank you for blogging - and being - the change for animals!
