HAPPY SUNDAY!
I am taking it easy on mum's lap today (that's if she can sit still for long enough).
Why are humans always rushing around? She says she's busy but I can see how stressed she gets. She has a lot of worries about the house move. She hates that it's taking so long and being stuck in a chain. Like most people, she finds it frustrating. All I can do is offer her lots of love and healing purrs.
Do you like to sleep on your human's lap? Is your human always stressed?

ReplyDeleteWe pick and choose when we sleep on Mom Paula's lap. Mom Paula does have a lot of stress in her life and she says coming home to us relaxes her.

ReplyDeleteAn 'stressed out'??? Mee finks LadyMum iss thee QUEEN of 'stressed out'...anyfing an efurrfing can do that to her. Shee says it iss PTSD frum carin fur mee 2 Aunty katss beur mee an then mee with mee health problemss....shee getss werked up easy. So mee iss werkin on beein close to her an showin her quiet....then shee iss quiet ;)

ReplyDeleteBritish house moving is a nightmare. Totally. One person drops out the whole thing falls apart. If we hadn't been moving to NZ we would NEVER move again!!!

That's exactly it. The waiting and not knowing is unbearable. I'm not the most patient of people and I find myself imagining the worst. At least Athena keeps me calm and entertained. I try my best not to appear stressed for her sake but cats are so sensitive and pick up on things.

Our mom gets stressed out when she tries to sit still. We don't get it, but she feels guilty if she isn't doing something. We've tried to explain to her that at her advanced age, she is entitled to relax sometimes. Hope you got your lap time, Athena. Thanks for hopping. I am not really a lap cat, but I do like to sleep on top of my mum when she goes to bed.
ReplyDeleteAthena, neither Chuck nor Angel are lap cats. Not that we don't pick 'em up and snuggle 'em anyhow, we are so mean to them! However, we've set up cat beds and boxes in such a way, that we are all next to each other, and the cats will purr, purr, purr. The loveliest sound in the world!
