Here I am enjoying some Bird TV. I enjoy doing this when it's nice and quiet but summer time brings with it noise, and lots of it. I'm not talking barking dogs but more of the human variety of noise pollution.
A note to our neighbours:
Why do you wake me from my nap with your constant use of the evil roaring droning lawn machine? Do you have to do it every day? Grass isn't meant to be mowed down every day. In fact, why not let it grow wild as nature intended?
A flat lawn doesn't look very appealing to me. It should be given a chance to grow a bit, to live and breathe a bit. But then that's what humans do, isn't it. Destroy nature.
I know not all humans are like this.
But anyway, that's my little words of wisdom for today. I'm off for another nap now.

Our neighbor cuts his grass every four days and we think that's too much! Every day?? It doesn't grow enough for there to be anything to cut in one day! Sheesh, silly humans..
If it helps, you should know that many humans agree with you! That is way way too much lawn mowing. Quite inconsiderate. I hope you managed to catch up on sleep time when they were finished.

We are in a drought, so no need to cut a lawn that is yellow. However, lawn mowers and edge trimmers are much too noisy!

I couldn't agree more!!! The man that cuts our lawn comes every two weeks so that's good. But the neighbor across the street - oh my! First he mows - he has a big yard so that takes a long time; then he weed wacks - another hour; then he uses the blower to blow all the trimmings in a pile. That's another hour! Maybe three hours later he's done. Mom says he just can't help himself. I wish he'd get help from someone! Love Toby

One mowed the lawn on Christmas Day. Unbelievable, since it was the middle of winter as well! I guess our winters have been quite mild in Englans, but really, Christmas Day is too much :)

Couldn't agree with you more, Athena! Neighbors on both sides of us are lawn mowing obsessed. It's especially irritating at 8am on a Saturday morning!
How inconsiderate. We have a construction site next door and they start drilling at 8 a.m.
Humans can be so selfish :(
That's awful for you. We have a school backing onto our back garden so you can imagine the noise from the kids.
