#CharityTuesday National Black Cat Day 2016 #BtC4A

National Black Cat Day is coming up on 27 October to raise awareness for black cats.

Did you know that black and black-and-white cats made up 45% of the total cats coming into the care of Cats Protection in 2015?

I don't like to hear that as I believe they deserve loving homes too, and it's not fair that they are viewed as unlucky or evil, so I am sharing this video to help to change the perception of black cats everywhere and hopefully get all black cats into their forever homes ASAP!

As you know if you follow my blog regularly, I am a rescue kitty and as a rescue kitty I want to help other rescue pets find their forever home, so each week on Charity Tuesday I will be sharing adoptable cats from Wood Green, the Animals Charity (which is where I was rescued). We are so grateful to this amazing charity because without them we would never have found each other! It's also one of the main charities we support.

Milo needs a home

The very handsome Milo unfortunately came into the Wood Green centre through no fault of  his own. Not surprisingly, when he arrived he was quite nervous (I know exactly what it must have felt like, Milo.) But he tells me that since then he has grown in confidence and wants me to add that he's a really affectionate cat now. However, he would prefer a home with no other cats so that he can get all the fuss and attention he deserves (I'm with you there, Milo!) If you would like to know more about this handsome fella then please click here to visit his profile.

My human loves black cats, and her parents adopted several black cats throughout their lives. We do not understand the prejudice here.

Milo is a handsome, handsome boy. I've never gotten the fear of black cats ... they're considered good luck in many parts of the world.

Milo is a super handsome housepanther, and we hope he gets adopted soon. We love black cats (and yes, we are a little biased, with Gracie and Zoe here). :) Sharing!

I hope Milo finds a wonderful forever home soon. All kitties deserve a loving place to curl up at night. ♥

I can't wait to adopt a black cat. Can't yet because we're in a studio flat and it's way too tiny to get a second furball, but once we're in a house, I'll definitely get on that! :)

It's a shame that black cats as well as black humans seem to have a stigma and produce fear in humans. Black cats make great pets. #Blackcatsmatter

Milo is a beautiful boy. The prejudice against black cats is just insane.

Some of my closest feline friends have been black kitties - including my Bubba and Rascal. I'll never understand the bias against black or black and white cats. They are some of the most amazing kitties ever!

This is terrific that you are helping to spread the word about their plight.
Thank you for blogging - and being - the change for animals!
