Living in Aleppo in Syria, Mohammad Alaa Jaleel looks after more than a hundred stray and abandoned cats. Sadly many of these felines are pets that were left behind when their human families had to flee the war-torn city. It's so sad that people fleeing for their lives have to leave their pets behind, and we know that this must be devastating. We feel for both animals and their humans.

I've been hearing a lot about this human - he is really a hero!
This man is truly a hero! I hope, due to his new notoriety, he's getting assistance. Dr. Jennifer Conrad is also a cat hero; she of the "The Paw Project" fame. We want to end declawing in America!
Declawing is barbaric! So glad it's banned here in England and many other countries. We don't understand why it isn't yet in America.
Definitely. There should be more like him in this sick world.
We heard about him! He is definitely an angel. Our hero is the owner of Oliver's Orphan Oasis. She never says no to a cat, no matter how ill or injured they are.
This man is wonderful!
We had not heard about this wonderful person. We hope those who had to leave their kitties behind will eventually be able to return to their homes and retrieve their beloved cats. Mom says she has too many animal angels/heroes to list. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
I wish there was some way to rescue all those poor cats and this man too.
I have been reading about him and praying that he can get some help. He is an angel on earth. Anyone who rescues and helps animals is a hero to me. :-)
That guy is amazing, and definitely a hero. Reminds me some of the guys in Japan who have been tending all the cows still in the irradiated zone around the Fukushima power plant.
