Behind Every Great Person, There is a Great Cat #wednesdaywisdom

behind every great person there is a great cat

Mum wants to thank you all for your kind comments on our recent posts. She's read each and every one and will slowly be getting back to visiting your blogs again. She is grateful to have so many understanding friends and your words of encouragement make her realise she can't give up blogging. It's the only thing that keeps her going, and my beautiful little face and purrs and kisses of course.

As you know, she runs this blog and Purrs Full of Love and then there is all the social networking to keep up with that I think she's exhausted herself.

I told her to take it easy, her health is more important.

I love my mum. She's great.

And why is she so great?

Well, I'm a great cat of course!

And because she helps a lot of rescue animals and wants to continue that.

Every thing else can wait.

Live in the moment, Mum. Don't worry about the future. 😽💕🐾

Humans need us kitties to keep them on the right path!

That statement is very true. I am glad you are taking care of your Mum.XO

If kitties could type, they wouldn't need their humans to blog! Take care of your human, Athena.

I hope that your mum continues to heal! Tell her not to worry about socializing. We will all be here whenever she is ready again. You are doing a great job of giving her purrs, Athena. The quote is very true. :)

Tell Mum we are thinking about her and that she should cut back. I cut back BIG TIME and it helps A LOT!! This week I blogged way more than usual, tell Mum maybe if she did 3 days a week on each blog it would be much, much easier! I would also focus on 2 social media outlets to work on and forget the rest too. I had to do the same thing because I was stressed to the max!! ((((hugs))) to your Mum. Oh and sometimes behind some "not-so-great" people are GREAT cats!! Hehehe!! xoxoxo catchatwithcarenandcody

You're so wise, Athena. Yes, please keep reminding Mum to take things at her own pace. All of your friends love you, and will always be here! :)

True ... one day at a time, Mum. Sometimes it has to be one minute at a time ... one hour at a time. It doesn't help to beat yourself up over all the things you SHOULD do. When I'm feeling really down, I do what makes me happy and that in turn fuels me to go beyond that and do what I need to do too. It's hard to do that though. For example, many of the blogs I enjoy the most hardly ever comment on mine. When I feel overwhelmed, I visit those because they make me happy instead of just visiting the ones that comment on our blog. Inevitably, taking that small time for myself puts me back on track to tackle the rest. And some times you just can't do everything. That's a hard lesson for me to learn ... letting go and not expecting myself to meet my unreasonable expectations (the shoulds). We're sending love to you and your Mum, Athena :)

Definitely right about the social media outlets, Caren. It's become so overwhelming. I'll do what is right for me (and Athena) and stick to the ones that work for our blog, which at the moment is Twitter and Instagram xx

Thank you. That means a lot :)

There are just so many great pet blogs out there and I try to visit them all when I have time. I have my faves, and I also always make sure I comment on those that are kind enough to comment on mine :)

Thank you. Mum has been feeling very stressed lately, and that gives her migraines, which makes her feel even more sick. Had some flu like bug too and just wanted to sleep all the time. She's been finding it hard to focus as well. Maybe it's just her age!

I take care of her all the time xx

You're certainly an inspiration, Athena.
Maybe your mum will also feel better when this gloomy winter weather goes away and the days get brighter & longer in spring.
