Happy Sunday!
Today's selfie is of me and one of my mousie toys (I didn't want him to be in the shot, but he tried to get in as you can see.)
The mousie toy is a gift from our lovely friend Sheila Jeffries, who writes amazing cat books (as well as human books too). The mousie is a bit on the large side, but that's OK. He also vibrates and tries to walk a bit when you pull his tail.

I've had it for a year now and I do really love it because I get to perch up high and watch birdies through the patio door. I also glare at all the cat intruders too, who are so bloody annoying. Anyway, I do use the post a lot, but as you can see from the scratches on the wall behind me, I like to do a bit of scratching on there too.
Granny doesn't like it of course. But I do, so that's all that matters. Walls are meant to be scratched, as I'm sure all kitties would agree. Mum was going to edit the scratches out for this selfie, but I told her to leave it. It looks nicer that way 😻

HI, Love the selfie this week, and that mousie reminds me of a hamster I once met... very briefly as it happened, was quite feisty thing. Peep doesn't let me scratch the walls, but I do scratch the gate post and occasionally claw at the sofa... well needs must when the gate post isnt around! Purrs ERin

Beautiful! That looks like a really fun cat tree, and just for a second I thought the mouse was real. Now THAT would be fun! (Paisley scratches the walls too sometimes.)

Our Reggie sometimes scratches the walls, but his paws just make little slidey-squeaky noises so maybe he doesn't have his claws out? Cats are strange

Yep, that mousie looks real, Athena! Chuck and Angel scratch on the cabinets and mattresses, but not the walls. We like a well-loved house!

Furry nice selfie and mousie just wants to have hims 2 purseconds of fame. Thanks fur stopping by yesfurday! some of us boys scratch walls at our fosters... Mom eventually going to carpet store for squares to cover walls with. That will be furry nice. right now We scratch bamboo squares that her gets and hangs on wall, yet they are 12.00 a piece and they make a mess when they falls apart. - Benjamin Lil Bear.
That's one big mousie, so big he looks real. As for the walls, not so much but we like to scratch the doors - it's ohhhhh so fun! Mummy keeps us away from the sofa by putting a huge scratching post just where we like to scratch.

What a wonderful "Mousie and Me" Selfie this week Athena!! Our angel kitty Addi used to scratch wall when Mama and Daddy left her for more than a couple of hours...
