HAPPY CATURDAY!
Today we are celebrating Sense of Smell Day.
What smells are your favourite?
Here are my top five:
- Mum's scent because she smells of love, comfort and safety. Plus, I always know I will be fed when she's around.
- Bozita* Chicken. I love the smell of this delicious cat food from Sweden, and it's so tasty.
- Lavender. Mum uses lavender oil in her bath to help her relax. This means her bath towel often retains the scent. Sometimes when the towel is dry I find it folded on our bed so I like to roll about on it.
- Carrots drive me crazy too - more than catnip does!
- Birdies (yes, I love the aroma of birdie wafting through the window)
The top five smells I hate:
- Bananas are revolting (Mum hates their awful stench too)
- Other Cats
- Dogs
- Wine
- Coffee
You can almost smell the flowers in this fairytale secret garden, can't you?

That is simply incredible, Athena! Just gorgeous.
Very tropical and sunny this week, Athena!
Love the art!
I love your art, it is especially pretty this week. You would love the calming collar I got for Sammy, it is lavender scented.:)
What lovely art today, Athena! I love the way my human's hair smells and I try to lick and chew on it sometimes. For some reason, she does not approve.
Your picture is brilliant, Athena! You look at one with nature in it. :)
Carrots, huh? I wonder if Gracie and Zoe would like them, too?
Hugs!
I like the fairytale filter, looks good on you!
Oh, I love this flower-power-likey artwork, Athena. This could be a picture for the wall, so beautiful :) Pawkisses for a wonderful Caturday :) <3
What a gorgeous image of you, Athena! And your lists are purrfect. Evan says he'd for sure put butter on his list of favorite scents. And, believe it or not, all of the kitties here would put dog on their list of favorites. That's because they are all quite fond of their puppy sister Astrid and just love to love on her. Banana would most certainly top their lists of unpleasant stenches as well, alongside the nasty odor of orange.
We love the scent of lavender, and do you know that fleas don't like the smell of lavender so rolling around in lavender scented towels is a great idea to keep them away from you.
The Dreamscope; Secret Garden is gorgeous.
Lovin the dreamy SECRET GARDEN effect and it's purrfect for today. Happy weekend to you, Athena and Marie.
That is BEAUTIFUL! I can't stop looking at it. I've never heard of a cat liking the smell of carrots before, Athena. Very interesting!
So beautiful today! Ralphie likes lavender too :)
I do that too, Summer! Forgot about that.

Orange and lemon too... As for dogs, I'm not used to them so maybe I'd like them if they are nice and friendly with me.

Thanks for the flea tip!
The Secret Garden filter was purrfect for you Athena. This art and you are both stunning. That ws an interesting list of the smells you do and don't like. Our mom hates the smell and taste of coffee as well. It is our dad's favorite thing! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Your artwork is superb and I love the garden theme Athena!
We really like that picture. Well done. We are not sure about the smell of carrots but we know we don't like the smell of other cats. You all have a wonderful day.
Love the secret garden effect thanks for hosting have a great weekend
Very nice artwork! Mom wonders if we would hate carrots.....we sense carrots in our future.
The Florida Furkids
I am SO IN LOVE with that artwork! Even if you DO hate the smell of coffee (WHAT!!??) Who hates the smell of COFFEE??!! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
I LOVE the Dreamscope effects! The one you selected suits this image beautifully!
Love Barb
That's a great art piece! Pop loves bananas but only when they aren't overripe and don't smell like a banana. I have some lavender nip that I haven't tried yet.
I think cats do. I love it though :)
