HAPPY CATURDAY!
Here in the UK and in many parts of the world, it is Father's Day tomorrow.
It must be nice to have a dad, but I can't remember mine. My real dad that is. Or my mother for that matter. But I have a lovely human mum who to me is a real mother and I know she will always love and take care of me. But I do sometimes wonder what it would be like to have a human dad too.
But then again, I would have to share Mum with him and I don't like the idea of that.
Mum is also sad because her dad is no longer on this plane. If you know our story, you will know that Mum adopted me a few months after her dad passed away. Though they were close when she was young, they didn't always get on later in life. But she still misses him and she hurt a lot when he passed. He was her dad, after all.

Both my human's parents are gone, and she didn't have a good relationship with either of them.

Father's Day is bittersweet for me. Haven't seen my dad in almost 30 years, but now I have a great stepdad. Don't give up, Athena! You never know when someone great is going to walk into your life. Till then, enjoy your Mum :)

Grandpa gave Mommy Arty Mouse and called her "his cat" so it's sort of appropriate she is the cat featured today, even though she is still MIA.

ReplyDeleteI have a Dad and a Mom, and they're different in how they interact with me. I'm glad to have both, but I think having only a Mom would be ok too.

I love my Pop! I never knew my cat dad. He was just a tom on shore leave or something. You would love to have a pop cos they spoil you worse than lady humans. Love your heart art and the other is nice too.

My Dad is gone too, Athena, but we celebrate the Father of my Children and my son who is also a Father. It is a nice day to say thank you for all they do in our lives. You should enjoy Fathers Day with your Mom because you both did have Dads that you loved at one point in your lives, even if you don't remember :) You look very pretty with your floating hearts :)
