Happy Sunday!
Here I am on Mum's bed but it's my bed too. A nice big double bed for me and Mum. Of course, I make sure I take up most of it! Mum sleeps in the fetal position mostly and I curl up against the back of her knee/thigh. Sometimes, I sleep against her inner thigh, which involves her having to sleep more on her back with the other leg stretched out.I know it can be uncomfortable for her but I'm sure she doesn't mind as long as I'm there to comfort her. She hates sleeping alone and sometimes says she wishes she had more cats to share the big bed with but I say NO!
What are your sleeping positions with your human or other pets? And humans, how do you sleep with your pets if you share the bed with them?

That is a telling selfie there, Athena, you look very assertive. Definitely a one cat Palace this, but then on a single bed Mrs Hudson has been known to fall down the back to avoid squidding me MOL

That is a lovely selfie, Athena. Mum's don't mind sleeping in awkward positions as long as the kitty is happy.
Flynn used to lie on my chest with his bum in my face. Eric used to sleep across the top of my head. Between them they made sure I was well pinned down.
Nice selfie, Athena. I often sleep pinned in by a cat on one side and a dog on the other. It makes for some restless nights, but I always have company! :)
Nice selfie. I wish more of our cats would sleep with us. Joanie sleeps between us, on my arm, but not until the middle of the night. Sammy sleeps at my feet ( he used to sleep on my head). With 12 cats, we should have a bed full. XO
Great selfie, Athena! Gracie sleeps right between us every night. Ava sleeps in a very nice kitty bed next to my nightstand, but we hope she will begin sleeping in our bed once she is more confident. :)
Sounds like you two have cozy sleeping arrangements. I'm generally not a sleepy-time cuddler, but occasionally I'll snuggle up against a Mom or Dad leg to stay warm.

Mudpie does the exact same thing! It's like she just can't get close enough to me. It can be uncomfortable, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
I usually sleep at da foot of da bed - sometimes on my momma's outside edge. Da DAWG sleeps in between my momma and da wall.
Binga is usually all over my human, so I stay on the far side of the bed - between my human thrashing around and Binga trying to keep up, it's too busy over there!
I am all over mom. Head, shoulder, side, knee area..outer thigh, back, butt, belly. I am a bizzy girl! Mom doesn't sleep as well till I come in and climb up beside her.
We let Mom share the bed with us!! For some reason, she thinks it's HER bed!!
Weird.

Athena never sleeps near my face or head, unless she's behind me on the sofa. Then she likes to sniff my hair and bite it :)
I need the company and the warmth of a cat sleeping near me. If I could have more, I would.

I suspect most kitties snuggle to keep warm. Athena still sleeps on the bed during hot summer nights, but at my feet and not leaning against me :)

Do you believe that Cody is allowed on the bed but NEVER, EVER sleeps with us? He never, ever sleeps on the bed! Isn't that strange? I have no idea why he doesn't (and Dakota isn't allowed in the bedroom) My Angel Bobo used to ALWAYS sleep with me, whether I napped or if it was bedtime, he was always in the bed! catchatwithcarenandcody
When Manny and CB first arrived, they slept on the bed with me most of the night, but recently they only visit when I first climb in, and again when it's just about alarm-clock time.
I sleep on my own matras next to Granny and in the morning I get into our bed next to Granny's pillow. She has made space for me😸 Pawkisses for a Happy Day😚😻
It's funny that at first, Bear wanting to be so close was uncomfortable for me. I wasn't used to a lot of physical closeness - but I sensed that's what he needed, so I gave him that. Now, I don't sleep nearly as well if Bear isn't laying half on and half off me. Cats are such amazing creatures ... especially to those of us who spend so much time in our own heads!
My other soulmate cat Suzy never used to sleep on my bed. But she would come into the room every morning after she'd been let out on her early morning walk by my mum and she would jump onto my pillow to wake me up :)
I am glad Athena stays in bed with me for most of the night. However, sometimes she gets me up at 5am for breakfast!
