Friendly Fill-Ins
Marie 1. I am going to focus on my writing again even if no one really wants to read it. I am grateful for the support I've had from most of my blogger friends but in the real world, no one cares. Even my own family and closest relatives.
2. I want to be more financially secure.
3. Once in a blue moon, I feel hopeful and happy.
4. I have a large collection of books and CDs. It was even larger before I moved house and so I gave a lot away to charity.
Athena
1. I am going to make Mum get off the computer and take an afternoon nap with me right now.
2. I want to be more famous. Some famous cats out there shouldn't really be famous in my opinion. They just got lucky!
3. Once in a blue moon, I jump on Mum's back. Haven't done it for a while actually. It was easier when I was a kitten.
4. I have a large selection of toys which I easily get bored with. Mum keeps buying more, but I am happy with a clothes peg or paper bag.
Top o' the world, Ma! Athena, you sure look like you enjoy being up there for your selfie, but I hope the getting down is easy for you so you dont get your mum too worried about you!

I know what she means about those closest to her because the only one near me that reads my blog is my mom, my hubby doesn't even read it. I am glad you have lots of toys Athena and I hope you have a nice nap together. XO

ReplyDeleteWe think some of the famous cats are that way because they have a quirk or something. You are perfect so maybe you won't make your fortune as a celebricat!
Mum should check out some of the self-publishing sites for inspiration. If only to find out what she might not want to do !

ReplyDeleteAthena, I agree about some of these famous cats! They have, like, over a million followers on Instagram and they don't even leave the house or do anything special. I work my tail off (well, not literally), and I have to fight for every follower.

This here human loves to write, but is only just now learning how to force herself to be disciplined enough to finish some stories to the very end. And isn't jumping on a human's back sometimes just so fun, Athena? This here human's parents have a cat who will happily jump on your back, no matter if you're bent over or standing straight up. Purrs, and we hope you had a wonderful weekend!

DeleteAthena, Manny is in love with a plastic spoon...all other toys be damned, well...except any cardboard box that he can chew on! Chili Bruce has very specific tastes: his Neko Fly toy, or the red dot and that's that!

ReplyDeleteMarie, I am sorry that your friends and family are not more supportive of your writing endeavors. That is very sad. But, you know what? It is their loss. Do what makes your heart happy, even if theirs are occupied elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteAthena, the fame thing works that way for people. Some just get lucky; they ride the fame wagon on their parent's name or whatever. Other folks, just as worthy (if not moreso!) don't get the chance, for whatever reason. That is unfortunate.
