Happy Caturday!
It's Go Birding Day and Mum and I are celebrating in different ways.
I'm watching of course... watching and wishing...
Stuck behind the window watching birdies in the street. |
Nature lover and animal lover Mum's ideal Go Birding Day would be photographing the lovely birds in the garden, admiring their beauty and sending peaceful loving thoughts and love to them.
As for me, I'm watching and watching and thinking.... well you know what I'm thinking, kitties!
Does this mean Mum loves me less? I doubt that very much!
Originally, Mum wanted to snap a photo of one of our birdie visitors but she hasn't managed to do that as by the time she picks up her smartphone or goes to find her camera the birdie has vanished (nothing to do with me!) So because we needed a bird photo for this post I suggested to Mum to look online for some cat and bird art in the public domain she could share.
She couldn't find anything suitable so went to search on Zazzle and found this vintage art featuring a cat playing the violin to the birdies. Peace-loving Mum thinks it's sweet but I think the cat has sinister intentions, don't you?
Just look at its eyes.

Happy Go Birding Day! Love your art but the first is my favorite.
I think da cat looks pretty hungry to me . . .
We cats are all hunters by instinct (although mine seems to be well submerged!), and smart humans don't hold it against us.
We're having a Birthday, but would prefurr that Bird-day...MOL :D Lovely arwork, sweet Athena. Cross my paws that you can watch a lot of birdies flying by. Pawkisses for a wonderful Caturday🐾😽💞
Yum...birds. Um...we mean....nice pretty birdies!!!

Happy go Birding day!!
Beautiful selfie with your mum. Thank you for hosting. Have a great day! XO
Lovely art, Athena! Those birds are flighty!
That violin kitty is definitely planning its next meal. Your art is lovely. We like the expression on your face. Happy you have birdies to enjoy. Thanks for having this hop. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I love the art today beautiful Athena. The huntress pose is very compelling.
I love your art. Joined your blog hop this week.
You both enjoy the day in your own special way!
Athena Darling, you look ever so lovely this week. And I have to tell you I LOVE watching birds. Last year we had a bird feeder until our neighbor complained about the birds leaving deposits on his car. Since then I have the the bird channel on television. I LOVE it when Mom puts it on for me and lets me watch Cornell Lab FeederWatch Cam at Sapsucker Woods. I also LOVE Paul Dinning's Cat TV videos.
I will lay on the bed and watch them ALL day!
AND we had a real live red tailed hawk to watch today (Caturday) I shall have a selfie of it on my post tomorrow.
I apoligize I did not get any art made this week. Mom fell asleep last evening (she has had a hectic couple of weeks) and today was too busy.

You always have such lovely artwork. We don't see as many birds outside our windows as squirrels.
LOL, the cat is trying to put the birds to sleep so he can eat them! Thanks for hosting.
You and your momma are so sweet together in that selfie, Athena. Mom says that vintage card reminds her of me, 'cause I stalk the birdies at the glass door all the time. Maybe I need to get a violin to lure them in a lil' closer. Tee hee hee. Luvs.
