In the UK the government has decided to ease the lockdown. We feel quite bittersweet about it, actually.
Lot's of reasons why for us, but the main one is that with the world becoming busier again, Earth and Nature will continue to suffer because most humans are selfish. Most want to return to normal. But where did "normal" get us?
It got us to here. This situation. A pandemic.
The real endangered species are animals because we already know that this pandemic is the consequence of mankind's invasion of the natural order of things. To quote the brilliant Dr Jane Goodall, "We brought it on ourselves" because of the "absolute disrespect" humans have shown for the natural world around them.
And she is so right. Mum and I both agree. Jane Goodall also added,"We hunt them, kill them, eat them, traffick them, sell them for meat in wild animal meat markets in Asia and Africa, and we have these intensive farms where animals are crowded in unsanitary conditions, terrified and frightened. This is how this particular coronavirus, COVID-19, has spilled over."

From the World Land Trust in partnership with Mum's favourite band Nightwish, here is this video that really moved us both. Mum actually reacted to it a couple of months ago on her YouTube Channel.

Nightwish, who have been charming fans across the globe with their anthemic music since 1996, began supporting World Land Trust last year when lead singer, Floor Jansen, auctioned a beautiful portrait painting on WLT’s behalf.Now, ahead of their new album release, Human:II:Nature on Aril 10th 2020, the band have released the video, exploring WLT’s work alongside GESG in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve. Their generous ongoing support to the project will support conservation in Mexico’s ancient forests.

We feel very sad about the endangered species. It should not be, but it is and some humans have no regard for the life of animals.
Sometimes, it feels like humans are the worst animals on the planet.
Many humans have no regard for themselves or other humans let alone animals. Well said.

It's so sad that so many species are endangered on their own home planet.
You are so right, Athena and Mum Marie. We humans seem to wreck everything.
It drives momma nuts when she sees how some humans treat animals. And that our President's sons are into big-game trophy hunting. YUCK.
It is so sad to see the animals killed for "sport" or in the rhinos and elephants case, their tusks. We all need to wake up to the seriousness of extinction. Forever is a long time.
Shockingly desperate and not a single heartless corporate entity gives a toss. We will pay for this.
