Happy Mewsic Monday 🎵
My Mum's dad would have been 80 today. I never knew him because he passed away in September 2010, before I was born.
So Mum and I are going to devote this week's Mewsic Moves Me Monday to Granddad Jimmy. He was a big Elvis fan and had the same hairstyle as him as you can see from the photo below.

Mum says that this song held a special memory for her dad because it always reminded him of when he arrived in foggy England from Cyprus in 1957. At that time many Greek Cypriots (as well as people from other countries) emigrated to Britain. He was only 17.

We never met our grandpa either as he passed away long before any of us were born. His birthday would have been next week. Sweet photos of him you have to remember him by. Happy Elvis week.
Aw, this will be a most wonderful week to remember Grandpa even though you never met him. It doesn't matter because the family members that did will fill you in. He was most handsome.

What a handsome man, and I love that he was an Elvis fan. I was so young when my grandfather passed that I hardly remember him, but he was a farmer and not an Elvis fan.

Happy Birthday Grandpa in heaven! He was a handsome fella. I know your mum misses him but I'm sure she shared some warm memories with you and I know that made her feel good, right? Elvis Presley had an amazing voice. I love his version of "Silent Night". He does classic Christmas songs beautifully. Meowy Catmas to you, Athena! Awwww....The King will always rule. Whoever did that Blue Christmas video, it was so retro and perfect. Loved it. And Silent Night is so appropriate for this season (such an interesting backstory to that song, too). Let me wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
