Thank you for all the purrs, prayers and virtual hugs for Mum's sick family member.
Last weekend, Mum's brother got rushed to hospital with symptoms that were similar to Covid. But he tested negative. Instead, they found bacteria in his blood. The doctors suspect an infected tooth caused it so he has to stay in hospital for a while whilst receiving antibiotic treatment. It can be really dangerous if the bacteria gets into the bloodstream, especially if you have heart problems which Mum's brother does. If left untreated it can get to the heart and cause damage to the heart valves.
As you can imagine, it's been a stressful time for my family. Mum tries to hide her panic and anxiety from me but I can tell she is extremely worried and so is my granny who is quite elderly.
I'm sending purrs to my uncle for a quick recovery xx

We send our purrs and prayers to Uncle to get over that sepsis. That is no joke and we are glad they caught it in time. Dad says he used to get people in the ED who never paid attention and then had lots of bad reactions. Happy Mothers Day all the way across the pond!

Purrayers for your uncle to continue healing. That is a good reminder for why kitties need their teeth looked after too as the same thing can happen.
I understand Athena and Mom. My favorite brother had sepsis in October with a temp of 106. It is a terrible thing. XXX Prayers for him.
