1. I am contemplating rather a lot at the moment. But then I always was a deep thinker.2. My flowers and plants I was trying to grow are a failure (like me).

You do have lovely long arms, Athena. Your mum is not a failure. She is getting into a vicious circle by thinking so. I know it is hard to do so but she must try to think positively. It is possible, I used to be like her then when I turned 50 and what I had been expecting to happen didn't happen. You can turn it around if you really want to, but you have to work at it. Remember, be positive!
You sure know how to chill, Athena. Then again, saving humans is hard work - so you certainly deserve it!

Your fill ins give us pause for thought. Marie you are no failure and we wish there was a way we could help you see that. You have done a lot and had success that your friends appreciate. We are our own worst critics and I know as I had to reinvent myself several times over from several personal misfortunes. Who is this failure you keep chattering about? I have no idea who this person is. I know Athena and Marie who I visit every week and appreciate as colleagues and cat friends.
I can only suggest looking and trying things differently. Take a free (or cheap course like those at Domestika online) something to shake you loose from any sad moorings. Yes its a struggle, I have had some disappointments and YES it is a tough struggle to fight your way back, but you do not do it alone. We can cheer our friends on.

Beautiful shots of Athena for World Cat Day! This year we did not do anything for World Cat Day as we did not know when we would get our internet back. We are heading back into 40+ temperatures and we are Purraying that the Wild fires do not take out more of our internet communications infrastructure! Right now we are happy, healthy and safe. We hope you feel happier soon Marie. I know that finding serenity is tough.
I love those long arms! Mom loves seeing mine but they aren't as elegant as yours.

I do think positively sometimes but lately it's been so hard to do. And please remember, depression and anxiety is an illness, a chemical imbalance or whatever. I've struggled all my life with it. Have tried everything to beat it. I have good days and bad, even some months are better than others. I know everyone has problems in life, but lately I've had far too much to deal with.
I appreciate each and every one of you and I know you are all trying to help. You are all the best online friends I've ever had.

We can relate to those fill ins, some plants in their patio pots...which is the only way to grow anything around here, are just a big mess, and not thriving like in past years. No clue why, but *she * is not having the greenest of thumb at the best of times.
